Who this is from

Sannyas is an independent Android app published by Rishabh Bhardwaj (warlordsoftwares.com). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to oshoworld.com or Osho International Foundation.

Information the app collects about you

None. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no registration, and no backend server of its own. It does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, advertising identifier, or device identifiers, and it contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting software of any kind.

Information stored on your device

So that the app can work as a player, it records the following locally, in private app storage that no other app can read:

• Which talks you have marked as favourites, and any playlists you create
• Your listening history and how far through each talk you have reached
• Bookmarks and recent search terms
• Your settings — interface and content language, theme, playback speed, and similar preferences
• Audio you have explicitly chosen to download for offline listening, plus a temporary cache of recently streamed audio

This data is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear the cache and your listening history from Settings inside the app, and uninstalling the app removes all of it permanently.

Android's own backup feature may include this data in the encrypted device backup you have configured with Google. That backup is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by this one.

Third parties your device contacts

The app itself sends nothing about you anywhere, but playing audio necessarily means your device makes requests to other people's servers:

• oshoworld.com — all audio and artwork is streamed on demand directly from this website, where it is offered freely. The app does not rehost it. As with visiting any website, that server can see your IP address, the approximate time of your request, and which file you requested. The developer receives none of this information and has no access to those logs. oshoworld.com is operated independently and its use of that data is governed by its own policies.
• Google Play — the app uses Google's in-app review feature to offer you the option of rating it. This is optional, appears at most rarely, and is handled entirely by the Google Play app on your device. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. On devices without Google Play, the feature simply does nothing.

Permissions and why they are needed

• INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to stream audio, and to notice when you are offline
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — to keep playing when the app is in the background or the screen is off
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC — to continue offline downloads you have started while the app is backgrounded
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show the playback controls and download progress. You may decline it; playback still works
• WAKE_LOCK — to prevent the device sleeping mid-talk
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to resume an unfinished download after a restart

The app requests no access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files.

Children

Sannyas is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. It knowingly collects no information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because no personal data ever leaves your device, there is nothing held about you for the developer to disclose, correct, export, or delete. You have complete control over the app's data through your device: clear it from within Settings, from Android's App info › Storage screen, or by uninstalling.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
